Lost In Sleep..

What you want, is what you’ll never find
For it is the best thing, that you’ve ever left behind
And when you want to say, all that you want
You’ll need a mirror for me, because I won’t be up front
I’ve done what I can, won’t let me do more
So tired of moving on, these feet are so sore
We’re bound by words, that you turned into glass
Lashing through my heart, how it happened so fast
Like a gunshot, over so quick, but so full of pain
I can wash myself over, but this blood will sure stain
And when you want to help, like you ever did
You can help by digging, and closing the lid
On all the stars, dreams, and the thought of the night
You’ll need to close your eyes, to see what’s right
And with my eyes wide open, I might have to squint
To see where the end is, and see where I went
I can pretend, and I can dream away from here
Life is just my pillow, and I’ll sleep fine my dear
