Dreams. Corroded.
The feeling you give me isn't at all what I predicted
If you could write it all down, it couldn't be scripted
When the winds blow me down, I know that I'll be lifted
And when life comes around, the present will be gifted
When I wake from a dream, and the sheets go cold
I realize that I'm awake, and my sleep has been sold
To the night I owe my thoughts, turning silver into gold
Falling back into my head, where the pillow starts to fold
While we live to love, and love those around us
It's what we make of ourselves, and those that surround us
Some we'll love forever, others will hurt and astound us
Be grateful for everyone, those are the ones that found us
When life can lead you down a broken bitter road
Remember what you've learned, and to lighten up your load
Put the pain behind you, and on your sleeve bestowed
For the journey we've endured, others can't corrode
